A história se passa no ano de 2049 e a ameaça se refere à chegada da escuridão sobre Lagash, onde não existe noite, e já havia sido descrita pelos Cultistas, mas a explicação científica fora descoberta na última década quando a rota da órbita deste planeta já não coincidia com a Lei da Gravitação Universal.

Una novela de atmósfera ciber-punk sobre los viajes por el tiempo, un tema apasionante que en este libro queda reflejado de una manera bastante decente, en especial todo lo relacionado con las paradojas espacio-temporales. Además, el libro nos aporta una minilección de historia sobre Constantinopla que ameniza la acción. En definitiva un libro agradable, entretenido y rápido de leer cuya única falta estribaría en algunas caracterizaciones de algunos personajes. Aparte de esto, solo mencionar lo deplorable de la edición española, plagada de errores tanto lingüísticos como de traducción. Aún así, es muy recomendable para todos aquellos amantes de los viajes temporales.
