It is a sultry August at the very end of the twentieth century, and Tristano is dying. Parodiando al conocido y esquemático cine norteamericano, la narración origina acontecimientos en los que el propio Soriano aparece como personaje para volverse cómplice de Marlowe y enfrentar así a las figuras más detestables de Hollywood.
