Padomju Latvijā vairs nebija vietas vācu melnā bruņinieka pēctečiem. Muižnieku zemes īpašums tika likvidēts, zeme kļuva par darba tautas īpašumu. Sākās jaunu, sociālistisku lielsaimniecību — padomju saimniecību izveidošana. Tika likti pamati sociālistiskās kultūras veidošanai. Protams, veicot šo darbu bez pieredzes, neizpalika arī kļūdas, bet taisnība ir P. Stučkām, kas LKP VI kongresā 1919. gada martā teica: «Mēs nebaidāmies kļūdu, bet cenšamies darbā labot savas kļūdas.
